This book has not DeMysteiFieD a thing for me. This is what I have run across in every book that I have purchased in hopes that something will help make sense of coding to me. It all started with a class at Career Step supposedly to learn how to code. But, all I did was the same things that I already knew, medical terminology, medical billing. Career Step then they just dropped the ball when it came to coding, basically there was NO coding information that they wanted to pass onto the student, period. And this all cost $3,300 for nothing. I do have all of the official coding books for those of you who are just beginning and don't have your books yet. HCPCS Level II 2017, CPT 2017, ICD 10-CM 2017. Plus Medical Billing and Coding DeMYSTiFieD, Medical Billing & Coding for Dummies, CPC Practice Exam Bundle.So, now I have been working to find a Coding book that will really teach you how to code, not how to bill. I have my CPT 2017 Professional, HCPCS Level II 2017, ICD 10-CM 2017 The complete Official Codebook, the CPC Practice Exam Bundle 2017 edition mcgrawhillmedical.com
Was hoping for more detailed info- this covers super basic stuff, to much about insurance companies and what they do and why. I didn't need to know all that info- If I did I would have purchased Medical insurance demystified
This book was really helpful to me. I used it along with textbook and code book. It help explain different areas better!
The book was ok. Really not what I was looking for. I wanted a book that would walk you through billing not just a quick and brief view
It is a great book but I gave it two stars arrived in clean packaging but the book cover is all dirty and sticky. Paying the price I did you would think in would receive a clean new or at least link new book. It is quite disgusting.
